Here’s to 50 Years of Teamwork and Commitment
CONCORD, NH, October 4, 2021 - In October 2021, The Granite Group celebrated a tremendous milestone—50 years in the distribution business. And as always, its focus remained on the people who made such a milestone possible.
To fully understand why the company adopted such a people-first culture, you have to go all the way back to 1971.
That’s when, at the urging of his father-in-law, Kevin Condron left Wall Street and took the helm of a newly acquired, single-location supply house in Worcester, Massachusetts.
With hard work, an analytical mind and a willingness to take calculated risks, Kevin laid the foundation for a company that today distributes plumbing, heating, cooling, piping, water systems and energy products through branches and decorative showrooms across all six New England states.
But from the very beginning, the key to The Granite Group’s growth and promise lay in its people—all of whom share an unwavering commitment to customers, business partners and one another. Fostering these relationships remains at the core of the company’s success—and continues to guide and shape its culture.
Today, Kevin’s son, Bill Condron, leads the company as President and CEO. And he firmly believes that The Granite Group’s people remain central to its continued growth.
As The Granite Group embarks on its next chapter, Bill remains committed to maintaining an environment in which people feel valued and engaged—and where everyone is excited to come to work.
